A veteran sled hockey
player, Dave has played for 16 years on U.S.A. teams.
Competed in International and National competitions
including the 2002 and 2006 Paralympic Teams – Getting
Gold in 2002 and Bronze in 2006.
He placed 2nd in the 2000 Boston Handcycling Marathon
and has been a member of the USA National Handcycling
team in 1998-1999. In 1993, he was ranked 8th in the USA
and 49th in the world in wheelchair tennis. 1992 Blister
Bowl Wheelchair Football Champions.

Started Competing: A member of the first USA ice sledge
hockey team in 1988…A multisport athlete in high school
(football, wrestling, golf, track and basketball), but
did not become serious about sports until after his
accident.
Most Memorable Sporting Achievements: Captain of the
1998 Paralympic team…Member of the United States Cycling
Team.
Hobbies/Activities: Alpine Skier, Water skiing,
Cross-Country Skiing, Handcycling, Wheelchair
Basketball, Golf, Football, Tennis, Softball, Kayaking,
Bowling, Rock Climbing, Fishing, and Scuba Diving.
Nature/Cause of Disability: Suffered an incomplete
spinal cord injury as the result of a motorcycle
accident in 1981 at the age of 26.
